Frequently asked questions
How do I sign in?
Tap Sign In and enter your email address and a password. Accounts are handled securely through Supabase. You can browse venues on the map without an account — signing in unlocks chat, friends, and the venue console. Forgot your password? Use the reset option on the sign-in screen or email us.
Is ClubPilot free?
Yes. Browsing venues, filtering, and discovering busy spots is free, and creating an account is free.
How do I invite friends to a venue?
Open a venue and choose to invite a friend. If you grant contacts permission, you can pick someone from your phone's address book and send them a text invite through your device's messaging app. Your contacts stay on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers. You can also connect with other ClubPilot users through the friends and chat features after signing in.
How do the QR tickets work?
Tickets and specials are created by venues in the venue console, and images can be attached when designing a ticket. When you claim an offer or ticket, it's saved to your account so you can pull it up in the app and show it at the venue. Keep the app handy at the door.
I run a venue — how do I manage my listing?
Sign in, then open the venue console. There you can create and manage your venue, publish tickets, and post specials, including attaching images. If you need help getting set up or verifying a venue, email us at boredbash@gmail.com.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data — messages, friends, claimed offers, venues, tickets and specials you created, and images you uploaded. It cannot be undone. If you run into trouble, email us and we'll help.
Why does the app ask for location or contacts?
Both are optional and permission-based:
- Location is used on your device to sort venues by distance and to draw a walking route to a venue. Your location is not stored on our servers.
- Contacts is used on your device so you can pick a friend to text a venue invite. Your contacts are never uploaded or stored.
You can decline either one and still browse venues, and you can change these permissions any time in your device settings.
Why do photos and camera permissions appear?
They're optional. You only need them if you want to attach an image to a venue chat or design a ticket in the venue console. Images you choose to attach are uploaded to our storage; nothing is accessed without your action.
